Women in Leadership - Development opportunity

12-Jan-2017 Women have long been told that thinking and acting 'like a man' in the workplace is the only way to get ahead and to be taken seriously.

There is another way.

Current research indicates that while mainstream programs are highly effective for development of women in the workplace, there is a section of the population that learn and develop better in a segmented group environment - termed as safe 'Identity Workspaces'. ** This research indicates that it is not enough to simply identify and instil the 'right' skills and competencies in aspiring women as if in a social vacuum. The learning context must also support a woman's motivation to lead.

While the modern workplace offers many opportunities for aspiring female leaders to succeed in leadership and management roles, many women still face unique challenges as they move higher in their organisations. It is imperative for women seeking to break through to the next level in their careers to refine their leadership and people management style in order to succeed.

This Women in Leadership program from Leadership Management Australia aims to use proven globally respected processes and principles embedded in a practical and real development process combined with a constructive, safe, fun and focused learning environment for women in, and aspiring to, lead and manage others.

Along with the fortnightly modules of learning, Participants in the Women in Leadership course will explore their leadership potential through interaction with other peers and inspiration guest speakers throughout the length of the course.

Targeted at aspiring and existing experienced middle management, this course will provide key opportunities for Participants including:

Exploration of leadership potential which comes from within
