Epson presents future technology for the future generation at EduTECH 2019

07-Jun-2019 At this year’s EduTECH exhibition Epson Australia’s theme is “future technology for the future generation”.

EduTECH is an annual event where the entire education and training sector gather together to learn, debate, exchange ideas and be inspired by the very latest in education thought leadership. EduTECH is the only event in the country that brings together the entire lifecycle of education under one roof and thus, Epson’s theme of presenting “future technology for the future generation” is particularly relevant at the show.

On Epson’s custom-built stand some of the technology highlights include the EB-1470Ui ultra-short throw laser projector. As is highlighted in this study, https://www.epson.com.au/gobigwithepson, the importance of readability when it comes to classroom displays cannot be understated. Powered by breakthrough laser technology, the EB-1470Ui transforms any classroom into a collaborative learning space. The EB-1470Ui also facilitates better communication by turning nearly any flat surface interactive, displaying larger-than-life, Full HD WUXGA images up to 100" diagonal. Plus, it provides up to 20,000 hours of virtually maintenance-free operation.

Then there’s the EB-L1505 high brightness installation projector with ultra-short throw lens, ELPLX02. This clever projector enables users to go beyond high definition with Epson’s unique 4K enhancement technology and native WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution to inspire any audience. The EB-L1505 delivers astonishing quality, up to 3x brighter colours relative to comparable projectors and ultra-reliable performance.

Projection of a different kind will be demonstrated with the LightScene EV-100 series, a new type of projector that has been created to blend into the background with a sleek, conventional lighting design available in black or white.

LightScene EV-100

The 2,000-lumen WXGA EV-100 can work as either a projector or a spotlight without distracting viewers from the subject. The LightScene EV-100’s unobtrusive design is ideal for curated visual environments such as classrooms, museum exhibits and art installations, where minimal visual clutter is key. It can be used to provide information, show video or moving patterns, and even projection map imagery onto small objects.

Taking care of business in the printing department is the WorkForce WF-C579R business printer. Representing responsible printing for the future – the WF-C579R uses 87% less power (there will be a live demo against a competitor model to show this power consumption advantage in real time) and prints 7 times more than laser printers – the WorkForce Pro WF-C579R offers high-productivity colour printing that's easy on the budget. Powered by PrecisionCore® inkjet technology, this compact MFP features a replaceable ink pack system with extra high-capacity packs that can deliver enough ink to print up to 50,000 black / 20,000 colour ISO pages black before changing the packs. It also produces fast, pro-quality prints with speeds of 24 ISO ppm in black and colour with no warmup time.

Finally in terms of ‘seeing’ the future Epson will be demonstrating the latest in AR smartglasses with its Moverio BT-300. With Epson’s acclaimed Si-OLED-powered, binocular, transparent BT-300 smartglasses you don’t just read the text book, you have it come alive in front of your eyes.
